Our Approach

We believe you can be most effective in business through effective partnering.

Understanding You

Every professional service needs to understand their clients and how their client’s business operates. At Lawfield, we are committed to understanding your business so we will visit your premises at no cost to see your operations and meet you and your key staff. Some clients prefer to start working together with an initial retainer engagement for up to 3 months to allow us to get to know each other. Others have specific project needs. Our service rates vary according to the type of relationship you prefer.

‘Top 4’ experience

We choose to work off the Terrace to reduce costs for our clients and be more accessible. But our standards and practices are driven by experience in national firms, so what you receive is comparable to anything you will get on the Terrace from a Top 4 Firm (except the bill!).

Quality Practice Standards

Lawfield is an Approved Quality Practice under the Quality Practice Standard (QPS) of the Law Society of Western Australia. On 16 February 2010, Lawfield joined a select number of WA law firms to hold this accreditation.

QPS firms are able to better serve their clients by:

  • Adopting modern quality management principles;
  • Focusing on clients’ requirements and client care; and
  • Striving for consistency of service for all clients by all at the firm.

Lawfield clients benefit from our specialist expertise but also from well developed and clearly defined internal procedures and refined efficiency.

Traditional values

At Lawfield, we hold to the traditional values of the legal profession.

We believe in excellent legal advice. We keep our knowledge up to date and ensure you get the best advice for your circumstances.

Medium and small businesses need to be prudent with their legal budget. We aim to be accessible to our clients and provide Top 4 Firm advice with smaller firm fees.

We believe that as a profession we have a duty to provide our services to everyone who needs them, regardless of their means. We do that willingly as part of our allegiance to the community and to uphold one of the traditional obligations of the legal profession.
